Las Flores is a municipality in the Honduran department of Lempira.
Las Flores is one of the municipalities of the Lempira department. It is located 17 km from Gracias on the paved road that leads to Santa Rosa de Copán. The town is 200 m away from the paved road.
The very first settlers were from La Paz department. It was first called "Las Flores de Santa Bárbara", honoring the image of the saint of that place. It was granted the category of municipality on 1 January 1869.

Honduras was home to several important Mesoamerican cultures, most notably the Maya, before the Spanish colonization in the sixteenth century. The Spanish introduced Catholicism and the now predominant Spanish language, along with numerous customs that have blended with the indigenous culture.
